2. CALL FOR NOMINATIONS to the CMLA Board of Directors:

Elections for the CMLA Board of Directors will be held during the CMLA's Annual General Meeting on August 8, 2019. The CMLA is looking for Muslim lawyers and notariés who are passionate about serving our communities by tapping into the wealth of knowledge and experience of our membership.

If you care about the Muslim community in Canada and would like to help advocate on behalf of same, as well as nurturing the growth of the Canadian Muslim legal community, we urge you to consider nominating yourself or someone else to serve on the CMLA's Board of Directors.

If you are interested in running for a position as a board member, please email contactCMLA@gmail.com with a statement of intent of no more than 500 words. Your statements will be circulated to the CMLA Membership, and you will be asked to present your candidacy to the CMLA Membership at the AGM.

Please note that student members are eligible to vote but cannot run for office.

Applications close 5 pm ET on July 31, 2019.

Please note that all nominees must be members of the CMLA and must be called to the bar of a province in Canada or as a notary with the Chambre des notaires du Québec.
