Founded in 1998 the CMLA is a non profit association dedicated to promoting the objectives of self-identifying Muslim members of the legal profession.  Our organization is includes muslim and law students, solo and small firm practitioners, lawyers at large firms, corporate counsel, lawyers serving all levels of government, academics, lawyers practising in the broader public sector, judges and other adjudicators, foreign-trained lawyers and non-practising lawyers, who are located across Canada.

Founded in 2021 the CMLA-AB Chapter is dedicated to promoting the objectives of self-identifying Muslim members of the legal profession.

 

The CMLA AB Chapter seeks to fulfill the following objectives for the AB Muslim lawyer community:​​

  • Professional Advocacy;

  • Education and Professional Development;

  • Networking; and 

  • Peer Support.
