Founded in 1998 the CMLA is a non profit association dedicated to promoting the objectives of self-identifying Muslim members of the legal profession. Our organization is includes muslim and law students, solo and small firm practitioners, lawyers at large firms, corporate counsel, lawyers serving all levels of government, academics, lawyers practising in the broader public sector, judges and other adjudicators, foreign-trained lawyers and non-practising lawyers, who are located across Canada.

Our members are from all areas of the professional community across Canada including lawyers at small and large firms, corporate counsel, government lawyers, academics, and non-practising lawyers that are still interested in the law. Our past members include several current Judges.
