Join moderator, Sania Chaudhry of the Real Estate Council of Alberta, and panelists Rame Katrib of Katrib Law, Sadaf Raja of Raja Law, and Rabie Ahmed of Esquire Law, in an informative and educational virtual webinar about criminal law.

Sania Chaudhry is a full-time practicing lawyer in an administrative prosecutor role in Calgary and is also a current part-time student at the University of Calgary Faculty of Law in their Masters of Law program, with her research focusing on critical race theory and administrative law in the context of reasonable apprehension of bias. Among her many Board roles, Sania is Chair and Founder of the Alberta Chapter of the Canadian Muslim Lawyers Association. She was recognized in 2022 as a Top 30 Under 30 by the Alberta Council of Global Cooperation and as one of 2022’s Women Who Inspire by the Canadian Council of Muslim Women. Sadaf is involved in her community extensively; she volunteers with various organizations including Calgary Legal Guidance. In her time away from the office, Sadaf is busy juggling the life of being a mother and hiking in the Rocky Mountains. She obtained her J.D. from the University of Ottawa in 2014. She is proficient in English, Punjabi, Urdu / Hindi, and Conversational French.

Rabie Ahmed practices family law and criminal law at Esquire Law, which he founded. He understands that criminal charges are accusations and is willing to hold the Crown and police to account to ensure his clients are in the best position.  Rabie currently volunteers with Calgary Legal Guidance. Hoping to inspire the next generation of lawyers, Rabie hosts lectures at Mount Royal University and other institutions. When he isn’t winning in the court room and looking out for his client’s best interests at the office, Rabie enjoys spending time outdoors and working on advancing his martial arts training.
