À propos de l'événement
Join us for a meaningful Healing Circle tailored for members of the legal community who are engaged in or affected by the issues surrounding Palestine. This event will be facilitated by trained mental health professionals and is dedicated to providing a secure, respectful, and empathetic environment for legal professionals to express their experiences, challenges, and viewpoints in relation to troubling events in Palestine.
CMLA-BC has partnered with Ruh Care to host this event with trained professionals:
Tala Barrage is a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario, providing a culturally sensitive space in which clients can explore and better understand themselves as well as address challenges in daily living. In using a holistic and integrative approach including somatic techniques, mindfulness, CBT, and DBT, Tala helps clients move towards living a more purposeful, connected and fulfilling life.
Amanda Hage-Hassan is a licensed Community Occupational Therapist in British Columbia, providing support to clients with work related injuries and those involved in motor vehicle accidents. Her interests are focused on supporting clients with chronic pain and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Amanda prioritizes client-centered practice and trauma-informed care, incorporating therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and somatic approaches to facilitate her clients' return to meaningful daily activities.
Key Features of the Event:

Who Should Attend: This healing circle welcomes lawyers, legal professionals, law students, and anyone in the legal field impacted by the recent events in Palestine. Whether directly involved in related legal cases or personally affected by the issues, this event is designed for you.
Note: This event is intended as a respectful, safe, and non-judgmental space. We ask all participants to respect the experiences and views of others and to engage in constructive and empathetic dialogue.
