CMLA Member Benefits
First opportunity to be involved in emerging public interest advocacy which affects Muslims across Canada. Members of our Advocacy Committee has appeared before Senate Subcommittees, addressed breaking issues on television, been involved in public interest appeals and other endeavors.
Approached first to be involved in educational endeavours organized by the CMLA. Our members have been the first approached to present at educational lectures for the Muslim public, a role which is beneficial for fellow muslims but also increases visibility and thereby serves as a marketing tool for the presenting lawyer.
Our members receive invitations to and discounts for networking events, which are held by the CMLA, often involving prominent politicians, businessman and other prominent members of the
Canadian Muslim community.
Our emerging peer support initiatives, including mentorship programs, articling placement initiatives and referral generation will be targeted in order to assist members of the CMLA.
The following are Annual membership fees for the CMLA:
Students/ NCA Candidates: $25
Paralegals/ Law Clerks $30
Lawyers: $75
